Unfortunately, after 22 years without any problems, the Alexandria Marathon in Egypt was cancelled a few weeks before Tim was due to run. Having tried unsuccessfully to locate another competitive marathon on the African continent during that week, Tim & Chris went to Cairo and ran an unofficial marathon. Please see Tim’s report from Egypt on the forum page. However, Tim has already registered for the Marrakech marathon in Morocco on 28th January 2007, and this will still put him within the current world record for running 7 marathons on 7 continents which currently stands at 95 days.
Argentina Marathon Results
Well, one down six to go! Tim completed his first marathon in 4 hours 45 mins and Chris managed 4 hours 20 mins, which considering the undulating terrain is pretty respectable. We’re told that the first 25k was straight up and a fair bit had to be done on hands and knees. It was labelled as an “adventure” marathon and it sounds as though it’s lived up to that. However, both have come through in one piece and have really enjoyed the experience. The team who put together the marathon have been fantastic, the hotel where they are staying is glorious and the terrain is stunning. Tim and Chris have already been interviewed by the Argentian press.
Tim is hoping to email photos and a report through shortly so check back soon and visit the gallery and Diary & Route
Diary & Route Page Becomes Interactive

The Pudding & Pie Say "Goodbye"
On the night before Tim & Chris' set off they visited Tims local to have a sending off party. A fantastic evening was had by all and many more pledges made for sponsorship. Tim & Chris would like to thank all the staff at The Pudding & Pie - Wimborne for their support and all their friends who turned up that evening!
